our story
Seamless Moves was established in 2018, inspired by our own personal experiences of helping older parents, family members and neighbours navigate the challenges of moving from much-loved homes and managing important life transitions.
Through these experiences, we recognised just how overwhelming and time-consuming the process could be, not only for those directly involved but also for the families supporting them. We saw a need for a service that could provide practical assistance, thoughtful guidance and reassurance during what can often be an emotional and stressful time.
Our mission is to help individuals and families navigate these transitions with confidence and peace of mind. Whether downsizing or rightsizing to a more suitable home, organising a lifetime of possessions, or managing the clearance of a family home following a bereavement, we provide a sensitive, organised and compassionate approach tailored to each client’s circumstances.
We understand that every home holds memories, treasured belongings and personal stories. That is why we take the time to carefully consider what matters most, helping families preserve keepsakes, identify possessions of value and arrange responsible resale, donation and rehoming wherever possible.

Maura Rooney
For me, Seamless Moves is much more than a business. It is work that I genuinely enjoy and find incredibly rewarding.
I have always enjoyed working with people, listening to their stories and finding practical solutions to challenges that may initially seem overwhelming. There is something very special about being invited into someone’s home, learning about their life and helping them navigate an important change.
Whether I am helping someone move from a much-loved family home or supporting a family following a bereavement, I understand that these are not simply practical tasks. They involve memories, emotions and decisions that deserve time, patience and sensitivity.
What I particularly love about my work is the sense of purpose it brings. Being able to take a situation that feels daunting and make it more manageable, while giving people reassurance and peace of mind, is enormously satisfying.
As a chartered accountant with experience in buying and selling property, I bring strong organisational and project management skills to every assignment. But I believe that listening, understanding and building trust are just as important as getting the practical details right.
I personally oversee and coordinate each project, working with a trusted network of experienced professionals who share my values of care, respect and attention to detail. Together, we manage the many practical tasks involved, from sorting and organising possessions to arranging valuations, removals, property preparation and final clearance. This allows me to provide a seamless, personally managed service, ensuring that every stage is handled thoughtfully and efficiently.
I take the time to get to know my clients, understand what matters to them and develop an approach that suits their individual circumstances.
For me, the greatest reward is knowing that I have made a difficult time a little easier and that the people I have helped can move forward feeling supported and reassured.
